Kuih Semperit (also called Semperit) is a Malaysian traditional cookie (biskut raya), traditionally served during Hari Raya Aidilfitri to visiting guests.

Semperit is made of wheat flour, corn flour, custard powder, sugar, and butter. These ingredients are mixed together to become a dough. Next, the soft dough is piped through a mold which forms the flowery shape of the extruded (Semperit) dough, which then are baked until golden yellow. The resulting shape is where the original name was derived from, that is Kuih Semperit Dahlia. Semperit is ready to eat once it has cooled to room temperature.

Over time, many variations of Semperit began appearing as the bakers are getting creative. Most popular are Kuih Semperit Susu (milk), Kuih Semperit Coklat (chocolate), Kuih Semperit Oat, and Kuih Semperit Cheese among many other Kuih Semperit Recipes. Yet the classic Semperit like our Semperit Pesona remains the most sought after for its authenticity.

Resepi Biskut Semperit Klasik
Bahan-Bahan:
260g tepung gandum
350g butter
200g gula aising
2 biji telur
200g tepung kastard
100g tepung jagung
1 sudu teh esen vanila
ceri merah dan ceri hijau untuk hiasan
Cara Penyediaan:
Pukul mentega dan gula aising hingga berwarna putih, kemudian masukkan telur dan esen vanila. Pukul sehingga kembang.
Masukkan tepung gandum, tepung kastard dan tepung jagung. Kacau dan uli hingga menjadi doh yang lembut.
Masukan adunan ke dalam acuan semperit dan tekan di atas dulang pembakar yang sudah di gris.
Hias ceri di atasnya.
Akhir sekali bakar dalam ketuhar dengan suhu 180°C selama 10-15 minit atau sehingga masak.
